About SOSWebs

SOSWebs is a small web studio based in Lithuania. It is run by Karolis and registered as MB Variantai, company code 306133252. We design and build the website first — a real, working site you can click through on your own phone — and you decide afterwards whether to pay for it. This page explains who is behind that offer, how the work actually runs, and how to verify that we are a real, registered business before you send us a single email.

Who you are dealing with

SOSWebs is run by Karolis. When you write to us, he is the person who reads it, the person who asks you what the site needs to do, and the person who builds it. There is no sales team, no account manager, and no handover to someone you have never spoken to. That is unusual for a web studio, and it is deliberate.

The legal entity behind the brand is MB Variantai, a small partnership registered in Lithuania. SOSWebs is the name we build websites under. Everything you are invoiced for, if you ever are, comes from MB Variantai.

We build websites and, increasingly, AI automation around them: informational and multi-page sites, online shops, and the quiet back-office work that saves a small business a few hours a week. We handle the domain and hosting so you do not have to think about them.

The company details, so you can check them yourself

You are reading a page written by the company it describes, which is worth exactly nothing on its own. So here are the details you can check against the Lithuanian public register without asking us for anything.

Why we build first and invoice later

The normal way to buy a website is to read a proposal, look at a mockup, pay a deposit, and hope. You are betting money on a picture. If the finished thing disappoints you, the deposit is already gone and the argument starts from there.

We do it the other way round. You tell us about the business, we design and build the site, and then you look at the real thing. Not a mockup, not a slide, not a picture of a website — a working site, on a real address, on your phone. If you like it, you pay and we put it live on your domain. If you do not, you say so and that is the end of it. No invoice, no deposit to chase, no obligation.

The risk sits with us on purpose. We are small and relatively new, and we would rather absorb the first build than ask a stranger to trust a proposal.

It only works because building well is fast for us and because we would rather spend a few days proving the point than a few weeks arguing about a specification. If it turns out we are not a fit, we would both prefer to find that out from a finished site than from a contract.

How a project runs

There is no ceremony to this. In practice it goes like this.

  1. You tell us what the business does. A phone call, an email, or a WhatsApp message is enough. What you sell, who buys it, what the site has to achieve.
  2. We build it. A few days for a first build, usually. We do not promise a date more precise than that, because we would rather be honest than punctual on paper.
  3. You look at the real site. Click everything. Show it to whoever else has an opinion. Tell us what is wrong.
  4. You decide. If it is a yes, we agree the price, connect your domain and hosting, and put it live. If it is a no, you owe nothing.

Payment can be a single one-off amount, or a small monthly plan you can cancel at any time. After launch you can take the site and run, or keep us on for maintenance — updates, backups, security, and the small improvements that otherwise never get made.

There is also a referral programme: introduce us to a business, and if it becomes a project you get 10% of the deal and they get 10% off.

What it costs

Every project is quoted individually, so these are starting prices rather than a menu. All figures are stated without VAT, and VAT is added on top.

What you needFromNotes
Informational or multi-page websiteEUR 300 + VATBrochure sites, service sites, local businesses
Online shopEUR 1000 + VATProducts, cart, payments, shipping
AI automation solutionEUR 500 + VATBuilt around, or independently of, a website

Two things worth saying plainly. First, the price you agree is the price after you have already seen the site, which removes most of the usual scope argument. Second, we quote with VAT stated separately so you always know which number you are looking at — a surprising number of published price lists never mention it at all.

Small and new, and why that is in your favour

We are not going to pretend otherwise. SOSWebs is a young studio with a short client list. We will not show you invented testimonials, a fictional team page, or a project counter that ticks up on its own. If a page like that would have reassured you, we understand — but we would rather be checkable than impressive.

What being small actually buys you:

  • You talk to the builder. The person answering your email is the person writing the code. Nothing gets lost in translation between a salesperson and a developer.
  • Changes are quick. A small fix takes a message, not a ticket queue and a change-request form.
  • You are not a rounding error. A EUR 300 project matters to us. At a larger agency it would be handed to whoever was free.
  • The risk is ours. A studio that already has a waiting list has no reason to build first. We do.

What we have built

The clearest thing we can point at is this site. soswebs.com scores 100 out of 100 on all four Google Lighthouse categories — performance, SEO, accessibility, and best practices — on both mobile and desktop. That is a test you can run yourself, on any site, in your own browser. Run it on ours, then run it on the last agency site you were shown.

Sites we have built and still maintain include variantai.lt, sosposting.com, domenuok.lt, pelninga.lt, naudotasauto.lt and puranode.com. To be straight about it: some of those are our own products rather than paid client commissions. We are not going to present a portfolio in a way that implies more clients than we have.

Every site we build is mobile-first, accessible to WCAG standards, and prepared for both search engines and AI answer engines with proper structured data. This one is published in nine languages. That is the standard we build to, not an upsell.

Questions people ask before they get in touch

Who runs SOSWebs?

SOSWebs is run by Karolis. The studio's legal entity is MB Variantai, a small partnership registered in Lithuania under company code 306133252. The person who answers your first email is the person who designs and builds your site.

Is SOSWebs a registered company I can verify?

Yes. The legal entity is MB Variantai, company code 306133252, VAT number LT100016340412, registered at Dailidziu k. 7, Rudiskes, LT-21177, Traku r. sav., Lithuania. The public registry entry can be checked at rekvizitai.vz.lt/imone/variantai without contacting us.

Do I really pay nothing until the website is built?

Yes. SOSWebs designs and builds a real, working website first, then shows it to you. There is no deposit and no up-front payment. If you decide not to take the site, you are not invoiced and you owe nothing.

How much does a website from SOSWebs cost?

Starting prices are EUR 300 + VAT for an informational or multi-page website, EUR 1000 + VAT for an online shop, and EUR 500 + VAT for an AI automation solution. Every project is quoted individually, and the price is agreed after you have seen the finished site.

How long does it take to build the first version?

Usually a few days for a first build. SOSWebs deliberately does not promise a more precise delivery date than that for a first build, because the honest answer depends on what the site has to do.

What happens after the site goes live?

Payment can be a single one-off amount or a small monthly plan that can be cancelled at any time. Domain and hosting are handled for you. Ongoing maintenance — updates, backups, security and improvements — is optional and available if you want it.

Does SOSWebs have a referral programme?

Yes. If you refer a business to SOSWebs and it becomes a project, you receive 10% of the deal and the business you referred gets 10% off their project.
